Compost for Brooklyn and Ditmas Park CSA Compost Partnership

Compost for Brooklyn is now offering compost collection in partnership with the Ditmas Park CSA during their pick-up hours. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 4:30 to 8:00 pm, you can now bring your veggie scraps and other organic waste to Dorchester and East 19th. When you drop-off your compost at this location, please help us by chopping your food scraps (we will provide the buckets and tools for chopping). The buckets will be transported by bike trailer to our lot at Newkirk Avenue and East 8th Street, so we need to be as space efficient as possible.

This initiative has been made possible by Greg Diedrich, who designed our incredible Compost/CSA Bike Trailer. If you are interested in volunteering to help Greg bike compost between the CSA pick-up location and our garden, please e-mail us at
