27th Annual GreenThumb GrowTogether

You are invited on April 2nd, to join a thousand community gardeners and greening professionals from all over New York City for a day of learning, sharing, networking and greening inspiration at the 27th Annual GreenThumb GrowTogether from 9am to 4pm at Hostos Community College! Please pass this information out to the rest of your garden group and anyone else who might be interested. This form is also available to download on our website.

This year’s conference features favorite workshops from past years, as as well as exciting new ones, including many hands on workshops, and new ones for youth gardeners. We are also excited to announce that Joan Dye Gussow, author of Growing, Older: A Chronicle of Death, Life, and Vegetables, will be our keynote speaker.

Pre-register by March 25th
$3 = breakfast + workshops + lunch + t-shirt

Youth 12 and under are free, but we need to know they’re coming.

Family Workshop: City Stories

The award-winning New York City children’s book City Green follows one young girl’s journey to turn a vacant lot in her Brooklyn neighborhood into a thriving community garden.  Join DyAnne DiSalvo, author and illustrator, for a reading and an interactive workshop in which kids will learn to draw one of the book’s notable characters: Old Man Hammer.

This workshop is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Moveable Feast: Fresh Produce and the NYC Green Cart Program.

Free with Museum admission.
